SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING (<3) + days 34-47

Feb 27, 2010 00:44

I like watching the Winter Olympics more than the Summer games - except for probably volleyball (both indoor & beach) & men's basketball. Short track speed skating is so intense. I remember when we first watched Apolo Anton Ohno at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, my mom wanted me to started training for short track, lololol. But anyway, that DQ on Ohno in the 500m event? There wasn't even that much contact, wtffffff. Ohno didn't even push him, lame. But of course, the judge was Canadian & the guy who fell was Canadian... just like what Ohno said, just like what Ohno said. And US v. Canada for the gold medal in hockey? OH SHOULD BE GOOD. Oh & Bob Costas needs to just not talk sometimes, hah. Okay wait... Bob Costas + Jimmy Fallon = wut? This is so random. Bob Costas, what are you doing? Fake keyboarding to the Roots background music for Jimmy Fallon's thank you note segments. THAT REMINDS ME: so they were showing skiing earlier & this one skier missed a gate, right. They cut to a shot of the skier laying on the ground, crying. The commentator? 'Oh...wow.' GOOD JOB GUY.

Anyway, project 365 yo. I think I missed a day in this batch, there are days where I don't do anything so I forget to take a photo every now & then. OH WELL.

Erwin's drunk photo taking face.

Feel your boobies.

Krean Kanteen.

Fat Tuesday yo. I forgot what this was called.

O HAY VALLEY. Pretty much, the only time I really like it.

So pretty.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA THE GREAT WHITE TROPHY HUNTER. I forgot we taped it & left it on the armor. I'm the one in the brown shirt, lololol

I guess I missed 41... anyway, I started working a bit more on the video...but was lazy & got distracted by everything else.

MY STRIPES DON'T MATCH!

I love me some used books! The two books on the bottom were gifts for a friend of mine - I can never call him Greg, as much as he wants me to now that I've graduated, but I just can't. It was an Oscar Wilde bio (published in '59, originally in... '32? I don't remember) & a book of T.S. Eliot's essays. I got him a book of Shakespeare's comedies when I was in SF (I split the price with a friend) & OMG, IT WAS SUPER OLD SCHOOL, published in the early 1800s, me thinks. Next time I see him, I'll take a photo of it. It's so cool.

Running on 4 hours of sleep & I had to go to work work wark.

MONEY: a bottle of milk tea & a music magazine about Tokyo Jihen about their new album. Yeeee.

Hoot hoot via Giant Robot.

OH OH OH OH. So for work, I had to get my fingerprints scanned & I had to go to the police department at SMC... but that's not the only deal. They only have 2 hours where they do scans, from 10-11 & from 2-3. I couldn't go during 2-3 because I had to go back to ND to make the final cuts for the Knights of Honor video. I get to SMC around 10:30, thinking because it's Friday & not many people are there on Fridays, it shouldn't be too busy. WELL I WAS WRONG. I was the last one to go & I got my scans done at noon. -_- I was gonna stop by the financial aid office to drop off my paperwork since they close at 12:30 on Fridays... NOPE. There was a line & I didn't have the time to wait... so I'm just dropping it off on Monday, either before my broadcasting class or in window between that class & my geography class. WOMP WOMP WOMP.

But yes, I did turn in a final cut of the video for Mr. Combes. Ngl, I'm both excited & nervous for tomorrow. I'm 'going' (I use that term loosely since I didn't pay for a ticket, lol) just in time when they play the video & the band sets up behind the wall. I can't wait for his reaction to the video. I know I made it seem like it was a pain, & even though it was a lot of work, it's worth it. I have so much love & respect for him; he's dealt with us for 6 years & (probably) counting since we go back every so often to visit. And even though we didn't tell him right away about my mom, he was still really supportive about it all. So yeah, I hope he likes it - it's like, I know he'll appreciate it, but the only thing I really want to see is his reaction to it. He knows I worked hard on it, so it should be pretty interesting tomorrow night.
