The Cricket Checks In
Hi and hello, friends and neighbors!!
Let's see...has anything big happened to me since we last spoke? Hmm...anything? Oh wait, yeah...I think I quit my job or something. :)
In my last post I announced that I was looking for another job. In this one, I am announcing that I hit the 'officially fed up' point before I found the job, so I just up and turned in my notice mid-August and worked my last day there on August 30th. I became kind of a folk hero at work - the girl who walked out on her own terms. It was pretty awesome.
So I'm unemployed now. But SO SO SO SO SO SO SO happy. Little by little, I'm getting back in touch with who I really am and it feels pretty good. Sleeping better. Laughing more. Crying significantly less. Thinking clearer. Appreciating everything so much more. I had forgotten how wonderful it all was out here.
Now my plan is to finish cleaning & reorganizing my poor neglected house, find the perfect job and live happily ever after. Good plan, huh? :)
Also in the six weeks since my last post, I have done the following:
* had a fantastic meet-up with coquillagement who is made of awesome!
* performed in the Del Close Marathon improv festival at UCB theater in New York City!
* road-tripped to New Hampshire for a friend's wedding!
* visited the Dr. Seuss Memorial Sculpture Garden!
* road-tripped to Disney World just to go to the Adventurer's Club one more time! (sob!)
Have missed you all very much! GROUP HUG!!! Come on, everyone get in here so I can hug you!!
