Jill was up either incredibly early or incredibly late, depending on how one looked at it. For the most part, she was choosing not to think about it one way or the other. The only thing that thinking about it resulted in was remembering the reason she wasn't sleeping and she'd rather not think about that at all. She hadn't gone back to New Atlantis that night, only because she was worried about keeping Rodney up or waking him up when she woke up from whatever nightmare she might have had if she did manage to fall asleep.
Realistically, she knew she could have gone to Mayko, but sometimes it felt like she relied too heavily on Mayko when it came to what had happened back home. She could have gone to Carson or John, but they'd probably both want to know why she wasn't back at Rodney's and so, in the end, she was heading along the path toward Lucifer's. She hadn't gone there since the confrontation with that little shit he'd had staying with him, but she wasn't sure where else to go now.
Pulling her jacket tighter, Jill shivered in the wind and the snow, then knocked quietly on the door to the yurt. Days ago she'd been enjoying the snow, joking with John, feeling good and now it all felt like it had been completely shot to hell.
"Lucifer?" she called, knocking again, hoping he was awake.
