I'm currently borrowing my boyfriend's laptop to type this.  You know how awhile back I said I wrecked my keyboard because I spilled tea on it?  I thought I'd got off lucky and that was all the damage done. Then a few days ago I go to turn on my laptop on and the hard drive promptly crashes.  FML.  D:

Still working on getting my laptop keyboard fixed which is why I haven't been around much. :(  Today is Turkey Day for those of us in Canada and I think I'm still in a bit of a tryptophan coma, so feeling very lazy and unambitious today.

I managed to spill tea on my HP laptop and now, even after I thoroughly dried it out, half of the keys on the keyboard won't work.  I guess I should be thankful that seems to be the the only problem as nothing seems wrong with the actual computing part.  But does anyone have any advice as to how I could go about fixing it - preferably without ( Read more... )

According to Gmail, yesterday my email account was access from somewhere in Poland.  Since I've never even been to Poland you can see the problem.  I've changed my password but if you received or have received any odd-looking emails from me in the past day or so - DON'T OPEN THEM!

It snowed for the first time today - it had all melted by mid-afternoon, but once we get that first snowfall the rest is never far behind.  :C

Also the new laptop finally has a name - Athena. 

I'm typing this up on my shiny, new HP Pavilion laptop.  My old laptop was over 4 years old so it's hard to get over how light and sleek the new laptops are.  Windows 7 came pre-installed and despite all the dissage it actually doesn't seem like a bad system.  So far I've mostly been fiddling around setting up accounts, exploring all the options on ( Read more... )

Beading is something I've always wanted to take up, so after staring blankly at the pile of beads and findings on the kitchen table for about a week, I decided to go for it.  So far the hardest part has been finding a combination of beads that I like - though using the big, clunky pliers I borrowed from Colin's toolbox is clumsy and a bit tricky ( Read more... )

The last few time I used LJ I've had an error message pop up on my computer telling me 'Stack Overflow at Line 132'.  Of course the first reaction from my not-very-computer-savvy self was 'Bzwuh?"  So after it had pissed me off by fragging up my computer whenever I used LJ for about a day I set about fixing it.
