Beads and Laptops
Beading is something I've always wanted to take up, so after staring blankly at the pile of beads and findings on the kitchen table for about a week, I decided to go for it. So far the hardest part has been finding a combination of beads that I like - though using the big, clunky pliers I borrowed from Colin's toolbox is clumsy and a bit tricky.
In other news, Bob my dear old laptop is showing his age and has been acting rather sketchy for the past while. My dad offered to buy me a new replacement as he and my mom didn't get me anything big for my last B-day or X-mas. Some brands my dad had researched and thought were good were Toshiba, Acer, and Asus.
What do you guys think? What would you recommend? (My dad's stipulations were that it be under $1000 after tax, and that it can't be a Mac.)
