So before I went up north, I picked up a copy of .hack//G.U. Vol 3.
So on the List Of Games People Can Watch You Play Without Wondering What the Fuck You Are On, .hack//G.U. is somewhere on the list just above that horrible Zelda thing for CDI that everyone is always making fun of. YOU try explaining to someone why you are playing a game about people playing a game, and if they are just characters in a game why "PK"ing is so terrible (and while you're at it, explain it to ME) and even in the net world why the hell would anyone dress like that and think it's cool? Consensus agrees: SAKAKI NEVER SHUTS THE FUCK UP and ENDRANCE: STILL EXTREMELY GAY.
I suppose that Sakaki thing is a spoiler? OOPS.
So Sakaki had this group in the tourny called the Hetero Trio? Like, for serious? I realize that's probably something that carried over from the Japanese but ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This game that reeks of so much GAY has a group of bad guys called The Hetero Trio and I'm NOT supposed to read into that? AAAAHAHAHA. Seriously.
I am still pretty peeved at the heavy reliance of the tournament as a plot device. I can only hope I am done with it at this point. Things have taken a sudden turn: Ovan is finished (?), AIDA is eradicated (??) and now I'm back to dealing with good old fashioned Cubia.
Sakubo has come out of the closet on the whole Multiple Personalities thing, and I think I had an actual chance to get rid of Saku for good but I JUST COULDN'T cus Haseo's emails were just too mean to send, so now I guess I am stuck with the bitch. Damn.
Yata came out as a previous gen .hacker which we all knew but it's nice to get some clarification. If I could get some Haseo=Sora proof I would be pretty happy.
ENDRANCE DUMPED HASEO HAHAHA and it wasn't even remotely believeble. ENDRANCE'S HEART BELONGS TO HASEO. He's only said so like THREE HUNDRED TIMES, GOD. GAY. I wasn't surprised when he came back.
Zelkova is in my party. :) His affection is in the red. :( That's going to take a lot of fucking work, amirite?
I want some azure trio, like now. They've made one appearance. SHOULDN'T THEY BE JOINING MY PARTY SOONISH?
And as for Haseo, I'm not sure when it happened, but I really like him now. I know he was an unbearable asshat and I hated him forever, but I really find him a pretty decent character. There's this one scene where he's screaming at Ovan (?) and going "YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL! YOU'RE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!" and his voice actor was so superb I kind of went "GUH". Also he's classed up so he's now wearing this really great white thing that just accentuates his (digital) crotch superbly.
NETSLUM IS LOOKING PRETTY SWEET. I love the inhabitants. I feel like there's a reference there I should be getting, but don't. Tartarga? I dunno.
And that's it for now. I have to go home and eat tacos and play before I fall asleep. New schedule: Work at 8 am tomorrow!
