Whaaaaa!!!!
Nic stole my car this morning. I was so tired when I woke up, that I was having trouble opening my eyes, and Nic was running around, panicking - where are my keys, I can't find my keys! She took my car instead of hers. I should have taken her car but I didn't bother looking for her keys, I rode my MTB in to work instead. Her keys are just on the floor next to the couch! It didn't take me much time to find them.
My Dura-Ace bar end shifters arrived from the UK today, as did my bar tape. The shifters are really nice and came with silver cables which will look quite nice on the bike. Now I have to get silver cable housing for my brakes. All I have left to buy now is the brake levers, some cables and some new brake pads. I kind of want to get Koolstop Salmons because apparently they are really good and I want maximum brake power for loaded touring. My other 32mm tyre should arrive soon too, hopefully in the next few days.
On the shopping list for the bike still, are: a lightweight front rack, 2 x small front panniers, 2 x new waterproof rear panniers.
HAAWT!
This stuff will always get purchased after our trip over to the East Coast. I've decided that my budget for the east coast trip is $500. Fuel and food and not much more!
