Tonight's amusement
Funniest story from Family Dinner, from my grandmother. When she was in junior high, some boy liked her, and kept asking her out. She kept saying no, but her sister insisted that she agree to go to the movies with the boy, and eventually wore her down. So she went to the movies to meet him.... and brought her best friend with her! Hilarious. And the boy paid for both of them! Can you even imagine? Twelve years old or no, that was not on. My grandmother said she felt really bad about it...eventually. Hee.
What's kind of great is that my grandmother was still friends with the best friend for the rest of her life. And her tragic life is a tale for another time.
