Impending doom once again...
Our company announced yet another round of layoffs will be coming up. I honestly didn't see this coming. I have survived 5 rounds of layoffs in the 8.5 years I've been working for this company. Here is to keeping my fingers crossed that I'll survive this one as well.
Sadly, our division will be having a holiday lunch tomorrow. It will be bittersweet. A few people stopped by after the announcement because we had plans to do things sometime in the future, and they want to make sure that they are done sooner rather than later.
In other news, I registered to participate in a training program for running today. I'm excited! I'm the only one in my family who doesn't run. I'm not planning for anything too crazy, but the goal after the 3 months is to be able to run a 5K.
