I went with my father to the movies on Saturday. I'm still surprised at this happening because we hadn't gone to the movies together since ... ID4, I think. Or some equally noisy movie I still don't know how he managed to sleep during. He usually goes on his own, because he doesn't like those superbig, supernoisy noisy new cinemas, and the rest of the family is not very fond of the old school cinema he visits.
So, they finally were showing Indiana Jones this weekend, and I was trying to make him go watch it, because otherwise he would get bored at home. And because, you know, it was an ok movie. But he said he didn't know who Indy was, and added he didn't like modern movies (even after I told him the script set it during WWII) because of the excess on XF. So, no luck.
Later I said my brother I wanted to see a movie my 12 Y.O. couldn't see, and would he go with me next Wednesday? Because Sunday is Family Movie Day, and we already had planned to see Don't Mess With The Zohan (I cringed a lot at it, BTW). And about a couple hours after that, my father asked me to invite him to that movie my nephew couldn't see. In the superbig, supernoisy cinema. And he didn't even snore, or doze, or anything. We even talked about the movie afterwards.
And it was The Happening =D!!
