I'm debating since I have off on Monday -- taking the train down to DC for the day to goto the Holocaust Museum to do some research. Its only $90 roundtrip for an unreserved Amtrak train (as opposed to the Metroliner or Acela). Its a clip under 2 hours. The drive can take a lot longer depending on traffic and the time of day.

I decided that it wouldn't be prudent to go on the London/Paris trip after all. Neither my car woes nor Tim's inability to go were the major deciding factors. While i was pleased that Tim was going to pay the $1700 for the trip for me for Xmas...I am not in the financial situation to support myself for 9 days overseas. I think we had the best drives to and from Long Island this weekend. The Belt Parkway usually is one big clusterfuck for miles. We got their late Friday night and met up with Marianna and Their cousin Liz from Tucson. We had drinks at the Corner Bar.
