Turns out that I needed a new battery as I suspected. I was able to get my car out of the garage and drive down to an autobody shop in South Philly to get the battery changed. I still need to get my car inspected this month too. I was able to do this all during my lunch hour to boot.

I drove to work this morning. Nothing unusual there. I park in the garage. Again, nothing unusual. I realize I need to move my car up a little further in the space and the damned thing won't turn over. I think I probably need a new battery. I hadn't had it replaced since December of 2000. Well my car doesn't appear to be too damaged, just a few scrapes and dents on the back, but I will have it checked out anyhow cause I'm not a mechanic and my car well if you have been reading my journal since its inception you KNOW what a pain in the ass that car has been. As I was on my way to the post office on Ridge Avenue I had stopped at the corner of Ridge and Leverinton waiting to cross the street. I watched as one of the workers at Sunoco was changing the gasoline price for regular gas from 2.05 to 2.07 per gallon. This is ridiculous. I don't think I have ever seen gasoline prices so high. My car was *finally* towed this morning after breaking down on Tuesday. They had a rough time of it since its a narrow garage with low ceilings. It turns out I just need a new starter. The mechanic sent someone to pick up my car keys so they could tow my car. After that I hopped on Septa and went downtown to the JOb Fair. I didn't stay too long. There were alot of companies there that I either wasn't interested in or qualified for. Ok. I woke up and called my mechanic. Only one person showed up at the shop today so they really cant do anything about my car. He suggested having it jumped, which makes sense...BUT...
