I finally had to breakdown and clean the kitchen and put everything away this weekend thinking that we weren't going to be getting the new counters until the end of the month, which of course turns out to be that they are supposed to be installing on this Thursday. I'm not overly surprised that the Flyers lost the conference finals...Why?? because anytime I listened to WIP sports radio or Tim had on Daily News Live on Comcast everyone was already acting like they were in the Stanley Cup finals...while not seeing the immediate series at hand. Flyers beat Toronto in overtime and move on to the eastern conference finals against Tampax Bay. Crosses fingers and hopes they make it to the Stanley cup finals.

Cudos to the Maple leafs for a premature asswhooping on the Senators... This means the flyers play toronto instead of the senators who have knocked us out of the playoffs in the past few years...

...and the FLYERS destroy the New Jersey Devils and go on to Round 2 of the Finals.

points eastward towards New Jersey...clears throat...pulls out best Nelson Munst voice and says HA HA....

Coming home early was worth it solely for the Flyers/Senators 3rd period brawls - even the goalies were beating each other up. I haven't seen hockey brawls this good in AGES. The last two minutes of the game took over twenty minutes with ALL of the brawls. There were at least 5 or 6 which left them with 2 or 3 people on the benches ( Read more... )
