I’m now looking for reviews outside of the romance circuit on Goodreads. The White Cat is definitely fantasy, and in the long tradition of altered fairytales… but it’s also m/m romance. Which might raise some eyebrows and anger levels…

But I’m not really fussed about it. It’s hard to take a random Goodreads reader seriously who didn’t like my fairytale because it had a ‘happily ever after’.

It was published with a romance publisher… And she thought the ending was cliche.
