Happy Fourth of July!!!!!

I should really be getting ready to go instead of posting on here, but oh well.  I'm walking up town w/Beck (Melfi) and we're going to the craft/show/parade/festivities.  I didn't get to go to the parade last year because we were putting on the musical 1776, so I was getting hair & makeup done, so I'm excited.  Plus, Megan, the little girl that I babysit for is in the parade...she's a baton twirler.  Oh so cute.  She's 4, and pretty much every day makes me sing "Grand Old Flag" about 40 times or so so that she can practice her routine.  It's gonna be adorable.  I must take a camera with me.

Unfortunately I can't stay in town very long today because I have to work from 2-10.  This also means that I'll probably miss the fireworks, although I'm thinking of shutting down a few minutes early and trying to book into town...find somewhere to park, and find my friends (or my family).  I love fireworks!  Our town has really great ones too, so I really don't want to miss them.

Anyway, Em's coming home from Africa, yay!  Hopefully we'll get to hang out in a couple of weekends.  Um...not a whole lot of other excitement.  Just work and work and babysitting.

I got to go to Yates for church on Sunday (the church that I've gone to my whole life until this past year).  It was packed full!  I think mostly because there were a lot of people up for the holiday, but I know there are also some new attendees, etc.  Anyway, as much as I've come to really like the church that I work at, I'm so thankful to have the summer off so that I can be home @ Yates, or wherever I want to go.  I definitely think I'll try to take a couple of Sundays and go up to Bethel in Rochester, and maybe even down to Elim so that I can see Bee...

Anyway, happy 4th all!  God bless you, and God bless America!  I'm such a patriot, so I totally love this day.  Last year, doing 1776 was awesome because it really shed so much more light on what people had to go through to make this country for us.  Here's some pics from that (I played Abigail Adams).  I wish I had some good ones of them signing the Declaration, but oh well!

Happy 4th everyone!

church, theater, work, holiday, friends
