a quick little update
Some of you may know my seeester was engaged to her boyfriend of two-plus years. They tied the knot on Saturday, October 13. My baby sister and I were the bridesmaids, and we sisters three looked stunning. The groom cried. I tried not to cry, but I'm sure someone took pictures/video of my crazy facial expressions as I tried to stifle the tears. I will have pictures in a week or two. JP didn't take the camera, so I have to rely on what pictures I get from seeester dearest or my mother.
I'm back at work after taking an extra day off for recovery time. I'd rather be back home in bed today. The "cold" front that blew through yesterday afternoon has left me feeling stiff and very achy. However, I really enjoy the cooler weather. I just have to get used to it.
It was so cool last night that we opened up the windows for a bit. It was very windy thanks to the aforementioned front, so it effectively aired out the house in record time. JP shut the windows before he went to bed, since Mack and I were already passed out. It was nice waking up this morning and still being able to smell the outdoors inside. It still smelled a bit of the rain, and a lot like autumn.
We are coming up on my favorite time of the year, when the leaves start dropping from the trees, and it gets darker earlier... this is snuggle weather, and I love snuggling!
JP's birthday is Friday. I would mention what I have picked up for him and what else I plan to get/do, but he reads this. I'll tell you all later!
This weekend is Astronomy Day, and I really want to make it out to Brazos Bend State Park for the events. I think it would be a lot of fun. JP is going to Oni-con with my little sister. That's his birthday present from her. He's so excited about that, and I'm really glad I suggested it to Em.
Speaking of Em, there's this silly little video I made of her when JP and I got our new phones. Yes, it kind of sucks, but Em is so strange and I love her dearly. Enjoy, feel free to comment on it, make her feel special!
JP is going hunting the first or second weekend of November, and then he will be gone for Thanksgiving. He is leaving that Wednesday afternoon and returning Sunday. Mack and I will have plenty to do, but we will miss him!
We currently have another Meatloaf & Movie night scheduled for November 3. The movie selection for this event is Three Amigos. If JP goes hunting that weekend, he will just have to miss out. I don't mind - I will have my friends with me!
Just now the school nurse contacted me. Mack is feeling a bit under the weather, so I'm off to pick him up. I'm not sure what's wrong - he's pale, a bit shaky and weak, nearly blacked out in the lunch line, but he's not running a fever. He does not want me to come get him, but the nurse insisted that he should not be in class. My poor baby. I can't stand it when he feels sickly. It breaks my heart.
