The weekend

I already made a short entry about the party Saturday night. That whole day I just felt icky and wanted to sleep. Mack and I got up early, had breakfast with Bliss, then went to pick out my new glasses. After that, we went shopping for a bunk bed for Mack and a new chest of drawers for me. By the time I got home, I was worn out. So I slept. I was running a slight fever, feeling icky and I still didn't have a costume for the party. I had already made arrangements for the babysitter so I decided to go and maybe only stay for an hour or two.

I ran to the store and picked up some name badge stickers for the "identity crisis" costume. Easy. The hard part was coming up with names. I was feeling rather uninspired. I took the labels and a marker with me, and figured I could get people to help me come up with names. Once I got to the party and started writing names, the creativity dam opened and I started coming up with stuff for myself AND for other people there. I managed to label everyone at the party. It was a lot of fun, too. Some of the names were cute, some were funny, some seemed really unoriginal, but I had reasons for them all. People that were still lacking name tags were asking for them, and people with name tags would come tell me whenever there was a new arrival that needed a name. Good times.

I got really tired about halfway through the games and abandoned my team to go whine to tfbretz and b3zsgirl. They finally got tired and abandoned me, opting to head home for the night. Shortly after that I had to take JP home with me, because he was pretty toasted and I wasn't about to let him drive home like that. Sadly, I didn't get one of the trophies, for the mere fact that I wasn't there at award time. They were pretty cool, too. Little gem-encrusted gold skulls on a gold plaque… one of those would have looked fine on my bookshelf.

Sunday morning, I took JP to get his car and Mack and I went shopping! I bought a garage door opener.

party, halloween
