Last night James and I had a date night. We didn't officially name it that, but it felt like one. It was a lot of fun!
After babysitting at 2 yesterday, he came to pick me up so we could go to STL for a job interview for him. I sat in the car and read Little House in the Big Woods until he got out. He said that it went well, and that there are 2 positions open through them. So he has about 5 leads right now on jobs - some here and some in WI.
Then we went to Brentwood to eat at the St. Louis Bread Company. We sat by the fire and had our dinner. We talked about what job positions would be perfect for us and what wouldn't be. I think we both had the same idea anyway.
So we went to REI to use up our $145 in store credit. James and I really want to start backpacking, and we'd like to make a long trip this summer (5 days, 4 nights). I tried on backpacks for awhile, and they feel so weird on me. Either they aggravate my hip bones or they jab me in the ribs. We said we'd come back and try again another day. I was getting too frustrated.
On the way home, James mentioned going to the movies but it would've been around 8:15 when we got to O'Fallon and probably not a time when a movie would start. We went to Blockbuster instead. We rented Tristan and Isolde. We cuddled on the couch with our big pillows and blankets, and it was lovely. The movie was really good, and I think James liked it too. We settled on it because it had love and war. :)
Now, I am off to a Kappa Delta Pi meeting. I hope it's interesting enough to keep me awake. :)
