Ugh!
Can I cry now?
I just finished editing Debbiel’s audio, When in Arbunkle and was quite happy with it. Threw it in my ipod for a final check and all the changes that I had to make for any places where I scewed up were all wonky sounding. I know when I did the original recording I was having problems with the program, it sounded like I was far away from the mic but thought no big deal it was still quiet and sounded ok but for some reason after I edited and did the final stuff the original parts sounded great but any cut in stuff, was static and squealing. I had to delete the whole recording because I saved all those changes to it. I haven’t checked the second part yet. I can’t remember if I did it later or at the same time. It kind of depressed me that I had to delete all that work. Le sigh….
I’m also very happy to say that ASadisticWhim has allowed me to record their story Redemption. Yay!!! I’m pretty excited about this!
The recording is done. I haven’t had a chance to get all the cutting done but about half is edited and two chapters are completed and I will be posting a temporary link to those. I realise my last wip audio took a year and a half. There shouldn’t be that kind of wait with this one, barring me losing my motherboard (for the third time) or any of the other things that happened while working on the watcher. LOL
In other news I finished my donation painting projects. On Time! LOL Very pleased with the rocking horse and even the jewelry box thingy. Flower pot for the city project...not so much. I’ve done quite a few of these now for the city over the years but this one sucks. I tried to brighten it up this year. Because I like dark stuff and it’s hard to see on the sidewalk when you’re driving by, so I wanted something striking, that you notice. Well… I guess noticing it because it’s ugly counts.
I s’pose there’s always next year…if they aren’t afraid to ask me again. If I can figure out how to post pictures I’ll try and do that later.
Ok I hardly have any rec’s cos reading online has been crap. I did have a couple more but I seemed to have misplaced the links for them so I’ll have to tag them on to next time when/if I find them again.
