[Neogeek] I'm tempted to spam the Neoboards with comments along the lines of "The NC Challenge is unfair! It's buying your way through Neopets! ...and what's also unfair is virtual prize code promotions! Not everyone can buy the merchandise, so why should ANYONE be allowed to get them? It's buying your way through Neopets!* And what about people in Antarctica who can't get PayPal? If they can't get PayPal, no one should be allowed to have it! PayPal isn't even FDIC insured anyway! Why should we have to use an unsecure payment method! Also, toy stores are unfair, because little kids can't possibly afford everything they want in the store! Furthermore, why are video game systems $250 or more? What kid has that kind of money? And homeless people! Why does Neopets have a DIGITAL soup kitchen when they could shut down the Neopets site and put their money into making a REAL soup kitchen and actually helping people!! IT'S SO UNFAIR!!!!1"
--but I like to avoid that kind of headache. It's too much like what I went through when I was younger [unfortunately, not only when I was a kid], and if I ignore the drama, it will resolve itself one way or the other ANYWAY without any action on my part besides to keep doing what I want.[/Neogeek]
*I've been buying my way through Neopets for years, apparently... oops!
The short of it is, "You can't always get what you want... but sometimes... you get what you need." [Of course, the distinction between "need" and "want" is blurred waaaaay too often.]
Speaking of, I apparently didn't get an Usagi comic: #118 is the latest, and it's a part two of two. No, I did NOT read part one...! DX It looks like they simply decided not to send #117 [I've never cancelled a pre-order, even for the hardcover TPBs I'm ambivalent about collecting], so either I pay extra shipping--since they apparently will NOT combine shipping with the next pre-order--or just go to the comic store and find it.
Guess which one I'm leaning toward... 9_9
C has been E-ranking his way through Sonic World Adventure ["Unleashed" JPN]. It's like they hired a high school band to do the E-rank stage ending music =p
tavicat have been tempting me to try
Etsy, if only to list some old drawings I have lying around for basically cheap. I don't know if that would go against a pledge I made long ago never to merchandise my stuff--thereby putting a buyer-oriented slant on what I do and increasing the guilt of not having done much of anything--but what else am I going to do with all of it? Throw it out? Oh, that'll make a LOT of peeps happy, I'm sure =p [like the "strip tease" in a certain Retro Core that C was watching...]
That enough tangents? Uhm... can't think of much else... oh, well, at least I can sleep in a little tonight =p [MW nights kill me!]
