I seem to have a hard time getting going not just because I have no clear incentive to do this or that [such as, "Come work for us right now and get paid well" compared to, "You ought to apply for more jobs that are prolly crap and you won't get anyway but you have to TRY"] but also because whether I go out is contingent on whether the payments some of these monkeys have mailed to me rather than paid electronically [which I don't entirely like but is at least fast] have arrived or not. One guy waited some days to get a cashier's check, then mailed it, and it hasn't shown up yet but he wants to know if I sent his thing yet or not.
So I don't want to go out until the mail's come, and that's usually after 1, and even then it's still pretty damn cold outside. Ugh.
But, I did see there's a graphics! job at NIST, which is literally right over the hill from here. Since there was almost nothing except job details in the advert, I'll apply to that just as soon as the inquiry I sent through the main site tells me who will be looking at my application [the Washington Post advice columns recommend going that specific extra mile]. That would be cool, to work there, though I feel mildly intimidated by the job specs [the Post recommends applying anyway, 'cause maybe everyone else applying will also be crap, and you'll be the best of the crap, which doesn't quite sit well with me but LOGICALLY I know that's how it works]. On the other hand, the Paladin spam? I got also looked promising, right in G-burg also and would be purely logistics but without the CS, so I bit on that pfish, too, when the site seemed to check out. This phrase is missing one letter. Can you reinsert it into the correct locations to make sense of it?

Meanwhile, I got spend-happy on Neojank with wearables, since it looks like I'm getting nowhere with my Customisation Spotlight entries purely on NC items, as well as beefing up
Accho's level a bit--I hear the Lab Ray doesn't do the "...and drops to Level 1 :(" thing above level 60 or so, and it would be an interesting [and expensive] experiment to see if that's true.
Unless I chicken out and just beef him up normally, which would also be kind of cool, though I'd rather beef up
Kolibri if I'm going that route, since he's actually on my main.
More stuff that doesn't interest you, I'm sure! It'll be good to note it here, though, so a year later when I wonder where all my fake money went, I can point and say, "THERE IT IS WHY I DID TAHT NOOOOOOOOO" =p
Off to mail...
