2287: You Never Know
Note: Tagging will be practically useless once the search feature is implemented, but there's a difference between an entry I deliberately tag as being about... say... Death Note and one that simply mentions it, like this one, so I think I'll still use tags for clarity and personal reasons. Search will make it easier to retroactively tag entries, anyway, so I'm looking forward to that.
First snow of the winter season! ...and year :/ but also winter, because we got NOTHING last Oct-Dec but rain... not that I really missed it, but it kinda looms feelings of global catastrophe when northern states, especially, stop getting White Christmases ='
I've taken some more night shots, since we got out mad early, but manual white balance seems to leave the shutter open way too long to get a clear shot... sometimes as long as a second T_T and auto white balance doesn't get enough contrast. I'll be damned if I buy and carry around a five-foot tripod for my pocket camera, though.
Also, I had to turn off a clock radio alarm in Electronics. This isn't itself so spectacular, because you have all these numbnuts coming in during the day randomly setting the alarms for two in the morning, but it was the first I had to do that was still in its packaging o_O ...seriously, I hate selling things un-shrink-wrapped.
...and we sell "Math Dice" :' which are... three normal 6ds and two 12ds X(
WHAT.
I also bought a new set of headphones... not because my last new ones were damaged, but because I managed to forget them entirely XP I tried to hold off and go without listening for a day, but in the end random decision maker won out. It's alright, I guess, because I always feel like they'll break any day now, despite the care I give, so it's $15 I just would have spent again some months later.
While buying that, I noticed the 2GB Memorex MP3 player went to 30% clearance [$70], which would be really damn tempting if I wasn't still expecting SUPER SNAIL MAIL DERIVERY of some kind of iPod from the brother type, especially when I really would feel bad about using it and subsequently damaging it or having it nicked. Unless it was a cheapish-ass Shuffle, how would I replace it? I'm not really willing to put down a huge amount for an MP3 player, particularly one that would generate all kinds of negative vibes from peers should it get harmed.
At least with a Zune, I wouldn't feel too bad if it broke.
