Hey gang,
 I know I've been a bit quiet here lately, but that's usually just a sign that I've been busy.  Remember those days with all the posts?  That's cuz I was trapped next to a computer with all kinds of things going on in my head and no outlet.  I still have lots of thoughts, but I'm much more mobile and not near a computer nearly as often.

I'm no longer going to be cooking at the gig in two weeks I was going to.  It is a volunteer gig and it's something I really love to do and I've been planning for it for months (a whole notebook full of recipes, menus, shopping lists and cooking schedules), but the person in charge has been very difficult to deal with for two years now and at times ( Read more... )

I've been listening to at least some parts of "The Secret" nearly every day.  One of the reoccurring themes in there is "Ask and you shall receive".  The idea is that you place an order with the Universe like you would with a mail order catalog, then you go about your life as though your order is on it's way.  They say not to trouble yourself with ( Read more... )

As part of my myriad of responsibilities at work, I just got back from fetching lunch for several people from the strip mall across the road.  I left the order at the Asian place and popped a few doors down to pick up an Iced Chai from a cafe while I waited.  At the cafe, I noticed their sandwich of the day was the Monster Munster BLT.  It got me ( Read more... )
