I FOUND HER NUMBER!

May 26, 2007 18:49

I went to meet my friend and his partner for dinner and saw a crumpled napkin in the door pocket on the passenger side and it's the napkin with the number on it I got on Wednesday.  YAY!

I was planning on calling her back yesterday, but I couldn't find the crumpled bit of napkin anywhere.

We met once before when and this time, she was with her strange and drunk friend again (who insisted the first time I met them that: 1. They were sisters, 2. They were given the same first name (like Maria Christina and Maria Louisa) because it was a family tradition and 3. the queer one of the two of them was there celebrating her Bachelorette party because she was having a civil union the next day.  None of that true).  She kept circling me and stopping by where I was sitting to talk.  Eventually she wrote her number on a napkin and asked me to call her.  Then she came back over and over to ask me if I really would please call her because she wanted to take me out and show me a good time.  Very flattering.

As soon as I got home from dinner tonight (komumoto oysters on the half shell and crab cakes, YUM) I called her up.  I woke her.  She was taking a nap.  I don't know if she really recognized me or not, (how many Jen's does she know?) but she asked if she could call me back in an hour.  I said yes.  Maybe she has caller ID?

I'll give it a few hours and then I'll call her again if she doesn't call me first.

Good thing too.   Momma needs a date.

Oh, for the purposes of this blog and anonymity, we'll call her Zoe (not her real name, of course) and call the strange friend SFZoe because they really do have the same first name.

zoe, dating
