Amazing. I finally found somewhere I cannot reach by bus. Crystal Springs Equestrian Center is at 16318 S Harding Rd, in Oregon City. There are no bus stops within a mile and a half.
Granted, I could bike that easily. But somehow, I don't think a commute to Oregon City to muck stalls for a living is really my cuppa tea. So I'm gonna call the guy and say sorry, but the transportation issue is... well, an issue. Which is good, actually - frees up my afternoon to, well, do nothing.
For the second day in a row I've neglected to ask at 3 Friends if they were hiring. God dammit. How much does someone wanna bet that when I finally do get my ass in there, they say "We were hiring last week, but we found someone, so not anymore"?
Whatever. In truth, I the idea of making a living off temp work sounds really fantastic. I mean, that basically means I do what I do now, without the agony of either getting fired or honest unemployment in between. If I can get myself to actually follow up with all my temp agencies, that'll be awesome.
I'm going to BeginRight today, after I get some stuff from Fred Meyer. And once I'm on ManPower's list, I'll be talking to them every day, and emailing Emerald Staffing a few times a week, and calling BeginRight on Mondays and Wednesdays or Thursdays, and I still need to call Employment Trends but they might want to re-drug test me and I don't want that.
Is it so wrong to want to just hang out down at Saturday Market every weekend? Really, I'd love to just hang around and play with stuff and eat jam samples and try on hats and look at all the shiney things I can't afford. And eat British food or Thai food or Indian food or Mexican food or Japanese food or pizza or whatever I want for lunch. Then nip on over to Apple Music to play with stuff some more. And find that head shop where my mom got her bong, I know it's around there somewhere. Who wants to come with me?
I really want one of those cotton tie-dye dresses from there. Either a long cotton one or a short rayon one. Or both. Maybe I'll acquire both over the course of the summer.
But it's Tuesday. So no market for me.
