After a night of crappy sleep thanks to freezing rain making me wonder if school was going to be delayed (it wasn't) and an epic battle to get kids out of the house, I am now sitting here with absolutely no motivation to do anything. Here, let me spam you with some adorable men.

At the moment, we just have some occasional gusts and rain, but everything is fine.  I guess Sandy is supposed to hit land in a few hours, but the storm is so big, I'm not sure that's really meaningful.  DH is home from work, so I'm happy.  I have a friend over, so I'm going to be away from the computer, but as long as we have power, I'll be around ( Read more... )

The kids have gone to school for 3 days and now school is closed.  I assume this has to do with the flooding.  But argh does it throw a kink in my plans.  Don't get me wrong; I'm grateful we are all safe and have no damage to our property.  But grrrrrr.  And more grrrrr.

Today was full.  Very full.

I dropped DD2 off at my friend's house so I could do yoga.  I dropped her at 8:40 and returned at 10am.  At around 10:30, we skyped with my mother.  At 11, we bade adieu and got all dressed up to brave the cold.  We left the house around 11:25 and got to school just before the turkey lunch was served to DD1's class.  (It ( Read more... )
