I got up at 6, well before 6 even, to get ready to take my girls to NY. We left a little after 7 and I got home around 8:30. In the middle there, I had some driving, some flying, a lot of hanging out in the airport, and a visit to the hibachi restaurant right next to the airport. The hibachi restaurant was definitely the highlight. The girls loved watched the chef, heck, who am I kidding, all of us loved him.
They cooked the food on a hot grill in front of us. The guy cooking squirted out oil in the shape of a happy face and then later he made fried rice into a heart and then sprinkled sesame seeds so it looked like an arrow through the heart. The girls were very impressed with his knife skills. Oh, and he tried to pop little pieces of zucchini in everyone's mouth, one at a time. I used a plate. No one else caught it. He made an onion into a volcano. First he separated the onion into big fat rings and then stacked them, with the biggest ring on the bottom. Then he poured oil and did something I didn't quite catch to make flame run across the griddle and whoosh up into the center of the onion. And the food was really good too. I had mostly sushi, but I ate some of the girls' steak (a couple bites) and some of their fried rice too.
So, I will mostly be around this week, but focusing on quilting rather than e-stuff. I will probably get sucked into e-stuff anyway:) Hope you are all having a good week. I'm ready to be home for the duration. <3
