Have you seen the geek the library campaign?
Here is the geek wall. It's awesome. I want to know what you all are passionate about. Here's my list.
- books
- quilting
- dragons
- fantasy/scifi
- dancing
- food
- thinking
- relationships
Also, I wanted to say this about camp. I love camp. I felt so connected and visible. Not in a "sticking out like a sore thumb way," but regarded. Valued. Plus, those people are amazingly creative and smart. And I fit in. I was talking with dh about how the average education level there is much higher than average. It seems like all the adults have at least a Masters and there are many there with doctorates of some flavor or another. Camp is kind of like fandom, but 24/7. Maybe it's like a low key con?
Yet again I'm procrastinating because I should be packing. Eh, it's just the kids who need stuff. Not my problem, right?
In other news, I made lasagna, dealt with the girls' hair, and then I ran out to two grocery stores and the library. Now there is a mountain of laundry on my bed. Maybe I should just sleep with it instead of dealing with it:)
ETA: I wanted to add that I have goals for the fall. GOALS! I want to write (or produce) quality rather than quantity. I'm going to try for a multi-media bingo on my KB card and to churn out quilts. I'm hoping to make four quilts by the end of December.
What about you? What goals do you have for this fall?
