Dragon quilt progress

Jul 11, 2012 15:53

I've got the little bugger quilted.  This was my first time using a twin needle and it was a smashing success, if I do say so myself.  What was not a smashing success was the thread I used.  *facepalm*  I'm really happy with how it turned out, but there was much gnashing of teeth and ripping of stitches.  Invisible thread is, well, invisible and when there is a problem with it, it's very hard to notice because, as I said, it's invisible.  Anyway, quilting is done and now all that's left is the beading (which there will be a lot of) and the binding.  I will probably put the binding on before I finish beading it, but I am not binding it today.  I'm happy to have it in a state that it amenable to being carried around and worked on.

Here, have some pictures.

Here is a close-up of the dragon:

In other news, I should start packing now.  Maybe.  But the laundry isn't dry yet.  LOL.  Also, y'all have been very quiet today.  I hope everyone is ok and just having fun with summer stuff!
