Barkin' for Books 2021
Had a really rewarding troop in Evansville yesterday. A defunct used book store was being cleared out by the new owners with all the sales to benefit the local no kill animal shelter "It Takes A Village". In addition to the book sale they turned it into an event with vendors, food trucks and adoptable animals on site. Everyone was super nice and there was a great vibe to it. I did an imperial scanning crew but we also had a stormtrooper and a Kylo Ren. There were more troops coming later but I had to leave early to make it home in time for family dinner. In all I spent 4 hours on the road to troop 1&1/2 hours but it was worth it. I wish I could have stayed longer.
