Wonderfest 2017
Went out to Wonderfest (the local modeling con) this weekend and there was a lot to oooh and aaah over. Since it’s the 40th anniversary this year they really went all out with a Star Wars theme, bringing in several Star Wars related guests and even working Star Wars into their Con badges and Con T-shirts. They also brought in a lot of Star Wars models and props (reproductions)for display. It was also great to listen in to some behind the scenes stuff from ILM in the panels and hear how the transition from practical modeling to digital went from the people that were there. Even though I’m not a model maker, as a fan of Star Wars it was fascinating. And Star Wars was well represented (as it is every year) in the model contest room.
