Community (season) finale
Okay, so before I go watch TVD for the night, let’s talk for a second about Community.
Now, like a lot of people I figure, I didn’t expect a lot of this show when it started but it ended up being an incredibly fun, smart, heartfelt, and of course funny show. It’s had its ups and downs over the last four seasons of course but it’s had more ups than downs.
And if this should prove to be the final episode, I think we can be mostly satisfied with what we got. It’s clear TPTB took the writing on the wall that a season 5 was unlikely and while not giving up hope gave the show an end it could bow out on if it has to. In the end...it’s not over. These characters will live on, if the show can’t give it to you you can imagine all kinds of ways for this world and these characters to go on with their lives. Weird and zany ways probably, but full of potential.
So for now Community, we can still hope for the moment that there will be more to see on our TVs, but if there isn’t you will live on in our hearts and DVD shelves as a weird little place where anything was possible.
...actually it’s late and I’m getting sleepy so TVD may have to wait until tomorrow night. But Community deserved it.
