i spent a large chunk of the weekend mulching.   dunno why, but for some reason, i love to mulch.  it's an awesome workout (which i will be paying for the next few days) and it's one of those tasks that you don't really have to think about.  it frees up your mind to think about whatever and you accomplish something at the same time.  it's ( Read more... )

 today, mom's new dog, dio, had surgery.  he went to the vet earlier in the week for a complete physical and all that, since she got him from a shelter and the shelter really didn't know much about him.  he was supposed to be about 10, but the vet thinks he closer to 6.  that sounds much closer to reality considering the way he acts.  the guy ( Read more... )

yesterday concluded the show season for chase and me.  i tend not to show between the fall and spring shows in syracuse.  the weather around here sucks this time of year and there are no shows that are really close by.  besides, it's cold and dark and i just want to hibernate.  driving a couple hours in the show to get dressed up and prance my dog ( Read more... )

the weekend was very uneventful.  friday night we hung at home and read.  i'm re-reading the harry potter series in preparation of the last book.  guy is finishing book 6, finally.  he's a little behind the rest of us, who read it when it first came out eons ago.  since he had to work saturday morning, it was off to bed early for him and i curled ( Read more... )
