i remember, once upon a time, that chaser-puppy was an actual puppy.  we started taking agility classes when he was 6 months old.  we slowly learned the obstacles, one or two a week.  the same thing over and over again.  using same the words and doing everything the same way so that he would learn the names for each obstacle and the body language ( Read more... )

well, dio seems to be feeling a bit better.  he ate a little this morning and went outside willingly.  it's a start.  i hope he's feeling better soon - he's such a sweetie and he had such a suckie life before mom adopted him.  now that he's in a good place, i want him to stay there a long, long time.

last weekend we were at an agility trial in cato.  chase did awesome!  well, sorta.  the first class of the first day he looked at the teeter, said 'no f'ing way' and went off to do some obstacles that he likes.  that was the end of that class.  the second class he did really well, but he went over a wrong jump and there are no wrong courses ( Read more... )

one of the latest crop of reality shows is 'greatest american dog'.  it started with twelve dog/owner teams.  they live together in a mansion and are competing for the title and $250,000.  so far i've seen the first 3 episodes and we could so kick ass on that show.  the performance is almost all stuff that chase already knows.  the hardest part ( Read more... )

i just checked the dog count for the dog show next weekend.  chase is the only male terv registered.  that means no points.  i need a major, people - get your dogs out there.  please!
