cato trial

last weekend we were at an agility trial in cato.  chase did awesome!  well, sorta.  the first class of the first day he looked at the teeter, said 'no f'ing way' and went off to do some obstacles that he likes.  that was the end of that class.  the second class he did really well, but he went over a wrong jump and there are no wrong courses allowed in jumpers with weaves.

the first class of the second day he actually did the teeter.  i was so excited that i wanted to squeeze him, but that's not allowed when you're competing.  we screwed up the second to last obstacle, though, and were disqualified.  so close to getting that first standard leg.  maybe in october at the syracuse trial...

but the second class of the second day we totally rocked.  did everything awesome and got a score of 100, with first place in our jump height.  we were allowed 44 seconds (i think) to complete the course and we did it in 35.3.  that qualifying score was our third in jumpers with weaves, which means he won his first ever title!  yay!  we can now put NAJ after his name for novice agility jumpers.  of course, that means that we're now moving up to open jumpers with weaves which is a little harder, but we'll see how he does.  i'm hoping to get a standard leg or two before getting more jumpers legs.  we'll see.

there are pics of the cutie with his ribbons, but i haven't downloaded them from my seester's camera yet.  maybe this weekend.  be warned, they will be posted!

dogs, weekend
