My face is fine.
Hey y'all... my face is doing just great. My chipped tooth is fine (it was capped). My other front tooth still feels a smidgen weird, but otherwise its good. The dentist (and the Lee parents) suggest that one or both of the teeth might eventually die out because they might not be properly connected to the roots. I just hope it happens BEFORE I am off my parents' insurance, but AFTER forensics season this year.
Life is stressing me out. Big surprise. Ok... life recap.
-Sorber. The annual tournament the forensics team runs is upon us. We host it Nov 10th,... which is in a week. People are already cranky, and Kate and I are already having to do damage control on Jeanine VS Brandi. Some people know just how crazy this week will be; pray for my sanity.
-I've done some serious rewrites on the Kate/Ben Duo. My Poetry needs a serious rewrite. My Prose needs some serious cutting and memorization. My DI needs to just fall out of my head, because I have an awesome idea... but it just won't come out right. I also am trying to get a Duo with Brendan going. And I'm in the middle of writing my Inform (I've got my introduction written!). Between my own pieces, and trying to get other people going on their pieces... I'm seriously already worn out. This is already the hardest I've ever worked on forensics pieces.
-University classes. I need to write a Philosophy paper for my Methods class by Saturday. And I also am putting together a WebQuest with a partner for my Literacy Strats class. I need to get started on my 25 page research/analysis paper on J.M. Coetzee's novels.
-I am still jobless. But the two scholarships I got this year are keeping my afloat for now.
-Ben made a boneheaded move when he brought up the idea of an English Fest. I am now co-chair of the English Fest Committee which is planning an English Festival in the spring semester. I am trying to brainstorm for English related events, find experts to lead the events, find some place to host the events, advertising for the festival, etc. All the crappy stuff that comes before the fun that I plan for everyone. *sigh* Too much work.
-Lake Geneva. I am enjoying my time I spend every day at Lake Geneva Middle School. It is really fun! 7th grade English and Literature classes. I am doing review lessons on Comma usage for the next week. Woo hoo! The only bad thing is the drive every day, which tires me out and sucks gas from my car like a filthy whore.
-I dressed as Gunther for Halloween! Brian McGee's party was nice, the Forensics one was awesome, and I didn't get injured.
-Etc. My toilet broke. Still searching for a place to live next year. I'm trying to sleep as much as I can.
-Love life. None. I really miss Julie. I realized the other day that I really do still love her, and I made a stupid mistake this summer because I was scared, confused, and lazy. I talked to her, and she has moved on with her life. Even if she wanted to take me back, I'm not sure I could... am I ready to be in a relationship right now? I spend so much of my time working on things... and I need to be alone to focus or decompress. That doesn't lend itself to a relationship. So maybe our breakup was for the best. But that doesn't stop me from loving her.
-Lots of other little side things to worry about. Don't even remember them off the top of my head. I am the most unorganized I have ever been this year. Oy...
-I register for classes next Tuesday. Yeehaw! I am going to take 2 English classes, 2 Comm classes, and the Forensics credit. That's it! Yay 13 credits and an easy senior spring! Still not sure if I want to go to grad school or just teach. That's a talk for another entry.
