It was then that her brain kicked in. She pushed him away, her hands pressed up against his chest.

“Hey,” Jayne objected.

“Jayne, we can’t,” Kaylee tried to explain.

“Why the di-yu not?” he argued, pulling her back against him.

“Simon, the Cap’n, need I go on?”

Jayne sighed, running his hands through his hair. “Knew it was too good ta be true.”

Kaylee smiled, resting her hand on his firm bicep. “It was good, wasn’t it?”

He looked up grinning, “The best. I ain’t kissed a woman like that in an age.”

He pulled her into another passionate kiss.
