The theme of this week is apparently interviews.  I have interviewed like ten people who want to work in admissions, and now I have to be interviewed tomorrow for a fellowship application and for an internship on Friday.  And then next week for TFA.
Too many interviews.

So life has been kind of crazy for the last month or so.  To give you an idea: On Saturday night, I slept for 12 and half hours straight, and probably could have gone on longer if I didn't feel so ridiculous at having slept for so long.  I suppose I could summarize the significant events of late, since I have so much spare time... or probably just ( Read more... )

Confession 1: Sometimes I look around the table at dinner and am shocked that I ever thought it was a good idea to consider some of those people my friends.

Confession 2: Whenever I find out that someone is an economics major, I automatically assume that they have no soul.

Today my college had a "Milton Marathon" in which they read all of Paradise Lost aloud in one day.  I mean, that just sounds intense.  But awesome.

In other news, school sucks.

The title of the book I'm reading for one of my classes tomorrow is entitled Woman and Water: Menstruation in Jewish Life and Law.

Cannot.  Wait.

In other news, I have a major application due on Monday, an essay due on Tuesday, and a test on both Monday and Tuesday.  Life is good.

So it is summer again. And summer, while a pleasant (and necessary) break from academia, is merely an opportunity to be led from one existential moment to another. At least these momentary crises can no longer be about college itself, since what's done is done on that front (at least for the most part).
