yeah, yeah, I know, I need a Pi icon!
I think I just fell in love with Yamapi all over again. I just watched the Short But Sweet concert bits from the One in a Million DVD. I was... exactly like the concert fan reports described it. I want to see the complete concert so freakin' badly right now! It was AWESOME!!
And damn, Pi knows how to put up a show! And he looked so happy!! And to think that Toma, Takki and Jin were all there to make it more enjoyable for him! I loved that he made me enjoy songs I barely even listen, and that he gave his best vocally even though we all know it's not his strong point. I hope he gets another solo concert, lots of them, and that he can show more of this side of him with whatever NEWS has coming (both concert and album!)
To this day I wonder why there are not more people in fandom that are fans of him. I mean, technically, I get it, but damn, not really. Isn't it awesome to be a fan of a guy that's so aware of the people that look up to him and of the people that take care of him that he never wants to dissapoint and he always knows what to say and do to make fans feel special?
Between school, work and real life issues is so nice to be able to get away and have a nice time doing nothing but drooling over a guy who lives at the other side of the world...
I've also watched some dramas lately. Shiroi Haru was sweet and unexpectedly NOT a tearjerker. I liked that for such a sad premise, really, it managed to rescue the humor of life so easily. Hotaru no Hikari so far has been... average, but entertaining enough. It's weird I can empathize with a lead character that I find so incredibly annoying... Shinzanmono was the highlight of the spring season this year, I LOVED the soundtrack and the camera work on this, and yeah, I knew who the killer was pretty much since episode two? Or something, when I actually started to think of "whodidit". Sadly, there's something about the "the murder is you!" scene I didn't like, and that made the ending a little sour for me :P Arifureta Kiseki is pretty much breaking my heart right now being so realistic and shit and surprisingly, I'm enjoying Zettai Reido, with all its episodic-ness and its inability to use BAD dead people. And I watched the first episode of Unubore Deka with Lupe the other day, it was fun! I'll reserve judgment until we watch the second episode, but so far, so good!
I also finished reading Superfreakonomics the other day. Man, I blame that book and its prequel for wanting to do something economics related in my thesis even though its one of those subject I'll never manage to grasp completely XP
I've also been in a Laruku kick lately. Did I mention I bought a ticket to go watch VAMPS live here in Chile next november? I had to download the music from that band because I honestly never heard them before, but it's as close as I'll get to a Laruku concert, I guess. I took the chance and started downloading everything else I was missing from Laruku and I even bought the limited edition of the album they released last march? was it? The one with a selection from each of the members. My first Laruku cd! Finally! I've only been a fan for over TEN years! XD
