tis the season to be GIDDY

Y'all, VividCon season is in full swing, and I am FEELING IT. I am TINGLY. I am GIDDY. I've spent the last two hours reading friends' old con reports and sisabet's Easy User's Guide to VividCon and fan_eunice's VividCon is Love post and even every word on the freakin official VVC website, especially what's on tap for this year, and I am BESIDE MYSELF with glee. I'm right back in that ice-cold vidshow room surrounded by my friends as the lights go down, feeling the wonder of seeing old vids in new ways and new vids of old loves, sucked full force into that GINORMOUS screen that makes you forget anything else exists in the world. We're so close now, you guys. All the hugging and dancing and rambling and squeeing and crying and laughing, it's all within reach. We're within reach. And you step into that hotel and see smiles on faces all around you of people you've feel you've known you're whole life (even if you've never met before), and the fear just melts away, and there is only love. So much love.
