Hey All, I just wanted to give you a little update on my spring break...
On Sunday morning I flew out to Cabo San Lucas for a condo that me and some friends rented on the beach. All week has just been relaxing and sitting on the beach, drinking large amounts of alcohol and...oh wait....
...that was just my dream last night
What I've REALLY been doing all breaking is working on one of my friend's film thesis project. 18 hour days, cold weather in NE Ohio and work work work. Don't get me wrong though...I love it. This project has made me INCREDIBLY excited to go to LA this summer and do some production work, which is pretty much the plan for this as of now. I'm going to try and live with some friends out there for a couple of months and get some really good experience working on some productions rather than an internship. In lots of way its better than an internship in the fact that its 1) Better experience: Some internships are all desk work, which is not at all what I want 2) ITS PAID! which will always be nice. Nothing is 100% yet but thats the plan as of now. Its spontaneous, unstructured and a change of scenery for me which is something I feel like I really need.
I'll be home tomorrow, around noonish, and I can't wait! It will be so nice to sit and relax all day and see everyone at night. Whoever is in town PLEASE let me know if anything is going on tomorrow night. I'd really like to see everyone.
By Saturday I'm on the road again, heading BACK up to Cleveland to see the festival premiere of Relative Obscurity. It got into the Cleveland International Film Festival, which is really exciting, so I'm going up with Lisa Kelly and Amy Graves, and we're staying with my friends Andrew and Mike in a hotel which is going to be crazy fun. Jo will be there tooooo! Oh and all you OU folks who were extras, Relative also got into the Athens Film Festival, so it will be screened to the public there. But if you're interested, find out when tickets go on sale and get them quick, they will go really fast since so many people from Athens were involved in the project.
On my last note, things have been going much better for me. I'm getting my life in order and my spirits are up which is nice. I also did extremely well on grades this quarter taking some tough classes, so that nice too. I hope everyone is enjoying/enjoyed their break and hopefully I'll be able to see everyone tomorrow.
