I was sick of the silly/ridiculous/a little embarrassing previous post every time I opened this page, so I figured I would update. We'll start with the bad so, this entry can end on a good note.
EDIT: So after writing this entry I realized it was kind long winded and boring, but sometimes you just need to let some stuff out. So feel free to skip over the bad stuff and read on to some of the good.
Why I'm Convinced I'm one big Cosmic Joke:
-My Suitemate: (WARNING! This story is not for the squeamish) A couple days ago my suitemate asked if he could borrow my clippers to cut his hair, I said "sure" cause I'm a nice guy and it not big deal. Two days later poor Katie K. (who is visiting for the day) asks to use my restroom. She walks in, walks out, and then wispers something to Roxana, and the two say they have stuff to do and leave. I figured the bathroom was just too dirty for her until she text messages me "look in your bathroom". I walk in an there is public hair COVERING the toilet. Its everywhere. Not only that but MY CLIPPERS are sitting out on the counter, not cleaned. 1) THATS FUCKED UP, buy your own clippers if you're gonna do that 2) AT LEASE CLEAN UP...geez. No one is ever borrowing any of my stuff again...ever...
-My Love Life: Now my situation here is a big ol mix of the world hating me and me being a complete and utter screw up. It could probably be explained in one word... "shambles". I don't get it, I'm nice, right? relatively good looking? Why is it that I'm always royally screwing up any opportunity that I have. Seriously though, thats not a hypothetical question, if you think you know, please chime in.
-My Health: People get sick all the time, I know thats no big deal. But why is it that I have to get sick on Thursday evening, right as my weekend is about the start? Some people would say that I'm lucky because I didn't have to miss too many classes, well try being cooped up in your room for most of the weekend. I swear I got cabin fever after like 12 hours.
-My (Piece of Crap) Academic Advisor: At OU in order to schedule you need to pick up something called your DARS from your advisor which has a special code on it which allows you to schedule. My time to schedule was Friday at Noon. By Wednesday I still didn't have my DARS so I stopped by my advisors office to see when he'd be in. He didn't have office hours for the rest of the week. I then email him on Thursday asking if I could set up a special meeting. Nope he was booked all day and out of the office on Friday. Well could you just send me my special code so I could register? NOPE, "we can't send that information electronically"! He told me that "I should really come in to talk about my academic progress". Do you know what would help my academic progress...BEING ABLE TO SCHEDULE MY CLASSES! 3 out of the 4 classes I planned to schedule are full as of today...*wah*wah*
Wow Apparently this entry is going to be a doozy. OK Now on the the good stuff...
Reasons Why I Haven't Lost Complete Faith In the World:
-Arden Gibney and Joanna Cocuzzi (and Tetris/Dr. Mario): Arden always talks sense into me even when I'm trying to be a hardass and it keeps me in check. Props to my oldest friend knowing me so well. Joanna is always fun and maybe has moved from being a "frienemy" and into the "friend" category. (I kid, Nanners! We'll always have our love/hate relationship) Oh, and Tetris/Dr. Mario (which is located in the Gibney/Cocuzzi room) is pretty much my crack/therapy recently. It gets my mind off stuff but it also tends to distract me from important things like homework.
-Sam Robeano: Emails from Sam have been my saving grace and has kept me grounded. I know I owe you one Sam, all get on it!
- Union St Diner Takeout: There is an AMAZING diner right next to my dorm and I just discovered that they do takeout orders, and I got it about 3 times this weekend, when I was either too lazy to walk to get anything else or was craving any of their delicious food while stuck in my room.
-TV is GOOD again: Lost and V Mars are both back to form with recent episodes and I was just introduced to The Office this week. I had been meaning to watch it for awhile now but now I'm officially hooked. You guys know, when you're sick in your room and have nothing else to do, good TV means SO MUCH MORE than when you're healthy.
Ok well that's it for now, sorry this entry was so long. I'm pretty much counting down until Spring Break. I'm gonna try to come home a weekend before that to see some people maybe, well see...
