Sonny Chiba causes car accident
Actor Shinichi Chiba (71), who currently uses the stage name JJ Sonny Chiba, was involved in a minor traffic accident this week.
On the afternoon of December 8, Chiba was driving his car in Shinjuku's Kagurazaka neighborhood. While attempting to make a right turn at a lighted intersection, he collided with an oncoming taxi that was going straight through the intersection at the same time.
Fortunately, nobody involved was injured, though the incident is being treated as a traffic accident resulting in property damage.
