Like a Grizzly that has acquired a taste for human flesh, you have been to Southern California and gotten hooked on Carne Asada Fries. Unfortunately you do not live anywhere near a taqueria that offers this delicious appetite quencher. Well, put a little thought to the problem at hand and here is one possible solution if you have no access to a kitchen.
Step one, acquire your favorite french fries from a convenient food establishment. I would suggest going with McDonald's or Burger King, as they both have the crisp that many seek in Carne Asada Fries. The peel on fries from Jack in the Box may add an interesting twist though. Next head over to your favorite taco truck or taqueria and purchase two carne asada tacos. You should not be paying more than $1.50 for each taco, and be sure to ask for them with no toppings. All you are really wanting to get is the carne asada. Hell, if it's cheaper ask for a side of carne asada in a cup. While you are at it, order a side of shredded cheese in a cup. Take a look at your budget and decide if a side of guac or avocado can be acquired as well. You should be able to get free pico de gallo salsa at any quality taqueria's salsa bar.
If the taco truck or taqueria can spare a paper plate or "to go" container, you are golden. Arrange the ingredients on the plate or container. Fries on the bottom, carne asada on top, cheese, then guac and salsa. Enjoy!
