He grins at her.

"Who am I to stand in the way of tradition?"

He grins again.

"Besides I am almost done. You could set the table?"

"I missed out the first time around," Janet's voice calls out from Cassie's room.

She peeks around the door frame.

"Humor me."

Sam pulls Janet back into Cassie's room and there is something that might resemble evil cackling as they plan what -else- to put in her suitcase.

Cassie grumbles as she stands to get the plates and glasses.

"It's not fair when you all gang up on me." More gumbling.

She yells in the direction of her door frame, "YOU BETTER NOT PUT ANYTHING MEAN IN THERE!"
..and there is more cackling as a result.

She facepalms.

Billy eats a little as he listens, then grins.

"As often as she can!!"

"And if you don't come back to visit soon, I'll send the entire milliways SGC contingent to bring you back."

It's all said with a smile. A very alarming, bordering on evil smile.

She'd actually do it, too.

Sam nods, swallowing her food.

"And more's coming all the time.
Did I tell you, Janet, that Elizabeth's here now? I haven't talked to her yet but I heard about it from Sheppard and McKay.

Most of the SGC's best people, and more than enough people to extract Cassie from any situation safely."

Sam nods, smiles and goes back to her food.

Cassie looks slightly horrified.

"You..you can't send an entire SGC crew to my SCHOOL! What are you going to do, pull me out of class and say you need some more mother daughter time??"
Beat.
"Besides, I'm not going to be leaving forever!"

Not if I have any choice in the matter.

"We can make toast to Cassie and the continuation of her studies."

Okay, so maybe she hasn't got the whole not embarasing her daughter thing down yet.
