Congrats to the Canadian women's hockey team. And the U.S. as well. You had me on the edge of my seat.

Also, of 16 medals this year, 12.5 have been earned by females. In 2006, 16 of 24 were earned by females. Go Girls Go!

Who's stupid idea was it for Vancouver/Whistler to host the Olympics? Don't get me wrong, I love having it just a few hours behind us (rather than the 7,8,9,...14 hours ahead of us) but really, bad call. Ugh.

Okay, now that I screamed myself hoarse like crazy and whooped it up: Yay Alexandre Bilodeau!!! ♥ It's embarrassing that it's been almost 34 years before getting our first gold on home soil, but at least it's happened!
