Toch fijn dat we 6 maanden BOVAG aankoopgarantie op de nieuwe auto hebben. Het viel ons op dat de stuurbediening niet altijd fijn funtioneerde, en dat leek vooral zo te zijn als we op cruise control rijden. This morning I took the scenic route to work. I saw Eersel, Duizel and Hapert. I also discovered that Hapert has an old monastery or abbey in town. I never knew!
But the biggest surprise of the day was my car having a flat rear tire, which is how I found myself in the bus in the first place.

Na het debacle van maandag dat mijn auto arme Aurum moederziel alleen in Veldhoven achterbleef moesten we toch even actie ondernemen. Ik belde bij de buurvrouw aan met de bak met andijvie-plantjes op mijn arm (ik was de bloemetjes aan het buitenzetten, haha). Vandaag was het tijd om Aurum naar de poppendokter te brengen. APK en grote beurt. For the Christmas Celebrations, we ticked off roughly 750 kilometers. For New Year's Eve in Almere, we will add roughly another 270 kilometers to our total.
I guess that makes for a new record of 1022 kilometers driven in the last week of December.

The Christmas days are behind us, which means that we've travelled all throughout the Netherlands and gained about 20 kilos. Aurum was a sport, although I've never had a scarier drive to work. Now that the A50 is closed for maintenance, I thought I'd try out public transport to get to work. Yesterday I went to the podotherapist (the foot guy) and ended up in a bit of a traffic jam because of it (the roadworks, not the foot guy).
