I've had quite a morning, and it's just noon.
First, I was able to sleep in, but slept in a contorted position for the last hour or so, and now I am a bit sore. My soreness can be blamed on having to contort around a shih tzu and a poodle who took up all the bed space they could. Cute, but quite into their respective comforts.
I went to a class last night at church about embracing an adult faith. It was a great session, and I am very happy to know I will be able to attend them all before I leave. It was great to remember that we breathe in God- in some ways, every breath I take is a moment of worship. I now understand why meditation experts focus so much on the breath- it brings us closer and closer to our creator, every breath we take. "In Him we live and move and have our being..." It's such a comfort.
This morning I got a call from my darling incarcerated fiancee, who was transferred to a new facility this morning. He's supposed to be going to a federal facility, but instead is in a local county jail, about an hour away from where he's supposed to be. So, this afternoon I have to add some phone calls for him to my list of things to do- his father needs called, a friend needs contacted, and mail needs to be sent and redirected. It's quite irritating. He could also be moved again with no notice, which is frustrating to those of us who are trying to keep up with him. Fortunately, he's able to call and let me know, so it could be worse. It was quite kind of the officer to allow him to do so.
Tonight I am going to a stitch-along with my neighbor. I'm driving because she doesn't drive after dark. I'm looking forward to it. There are a couple of errands to run this evening, and I'm going to do them this afternoon. I have a check to cash and a legal policy to reinstate, and I need to take some books and DVDs for trade/sale. I believe I've got the fabric I need to finish the stitch-along, but I need to buy the pattern. Hopefully, there will be enough money from the sales to do so!
Well, there is lots to do, so I'm going to sign off for now. I'm pretty upbeat right now. It's a good thing.
