Nine shows, y'all

My life is pretty small these days, and with nothing particularly exciting to do, I've fallen even deeper into my TV abyss. It's gotten to the point where I need to have a show to watch every night of the week! And so, I am watching "How I Met Your Mother" (Mon), "Castle" (Mon), "Glee" (Tues -- yes, I caught up with it, even though I really couldn't care less about it), "New Girl" (Tues), "Psych" (Wed), "Bones" (Thurs), "The Office" (Thurs), and "Chuck" (Fri). Oh, and "Once Upon a Time" (Sun)! I really need to get a job soon.

Speaking of which, I hope to have good news on that front, possibly next week. I will keep you all posted!

And now to return to my vicious TV cycle: I watched the "Bones" season premiere tonight. I liked the episode, and it was great to see that, even though Booth and Brennan are finally together, there's still dramatic tension between the characters. I always wondered why the show didn't get to this point two seasons earlier; obviously, the two characters are so different that they're going to continue having issues and arguments, even after declaring their love for one another. That said, I feel a little shortchanged. Last season, all we got was one scene of Brennan breaking down and climbing into bed with Booth (but no kissing or other physical affection), and one scene of Brennan revealing that she was pregnant. But suddenly this season they're in a full-blown relationship and saying "I love you" like it's no big deal! Where was the huge, romantic, climactic kiss? Where was the heart-wrenching scene in which they decide that finally, after all their fear and miscommunication and bad timing, they can be together? I feel slightly cheated!

And that, my friends, is life at this moment.
