I've been to a pub quiz

As a result, my clothes reek of smoke, I'm full of chips & stew and I feel a warm glow of satisfaction over having known the name of the chef from Fawlty Towers.

In other news, this morning's meeting with the boss went as well as could be expected. We talked about programming in C, and using pointer arithmetic to modify five dimensional arrays, then I went home and did nothing for the rest of the day apart from watch Dodgeball (superb film, a million miles away from the dumb Farrelly-esque gross-out comedy I was expecting. Rather more like a modern Passport to Pimlico, in fact) and an episode of Firefly (Ariel for those of you keeping score at home, a great episode with something of a plot, for a change. One of these days I'll give you my Thoughts on Firefly, but I guess that'll have to wait until I watch the whole season).

Given today's lackadaisical performance, I've probably got a Big Programming Session ahead of me tomorrow.

phd, c, pub quiz, firefly, cinema, it was terry
